Yes, it is, not going into more technical medical terms, take another example of our typical pc, if we just turn off the power supply without going thru the proper shutdown, chances are, your pc will not survive for long. That kind of sudden power disruption to a computer is similar to what your body will experience if u stopped suddenly without letting the body gradually slow down to a stop (rest).

Yes actually it is bad for you and the reason is not just lactic acid. When you exercise you get he fluids in your body moving and when you suddenly stop with no cool down it does not allow the fluids to adjust to the change and creates pooling in your legs.
Always do a quick cool down walk to avoid this.

yes....i was taught to haf a quick cool down after all the tough training @track..... but i aso dun know wat's e reason....cannot b bothered to find out as i was oni a sec school student back den....wahahaha

i wouldn't say unhealthy but it would allow a lot of lactic acid to build up and your legs will become extremly sore
