There are two interpretations.
1.) There is no medium: the devil and hell are that place where god is not. Therefore, Devil = 0, god = 1
2.) Humanity, for while we have the lord within us, we also have the taste for sin.
The thing about the devil that doesn't make sense is, he's all hate and evil, and god's all love, but god's omnipotent, and the devil isn't. So God = the win, so there shouldn't even BE the devil. Maybe if one incorporated duality wherein there is a balance of good and evil in the universe and whatnot, but Christianity doesn't like that idea.

I don't know what you mean by medium but the difference between God and the devil is- God is good!! and Satan is evil.

Positive way of thinking (medium) is god and negatives way of thinking (medium) devil.

a god normally works for the good side. and the devil works for the bad.
if you take one O out of Good you get God, and you ad a d to Evil and you get Devil.
