Dreaming is a place of possibility and creation, a land of futures that might come and pasts that never were. It is also a land of nightmares.
It constantly changes as people fall asleep and shape parts of it, then wake up and their dreams dissolve back into mist. A dreams dictionary always helps ( for other descriptions needed ). http://myjellybean.com/dream/pagey.html

Look, why should you ask for forgiveness for something you cannot control? Your dreams are coming from your subconscience, which is a part of your brain that you cannot control, just like the beating of your heart, or can you stop it? No, you can't, and you can't keep the repressed thoughts which are stocked in your subconscience from popping up in your dreams. It's as easy as that.

Try to get some stuff about the psychology of dreams... heck

Seriously... where are you from? I mean you do live in a developed country, otherwise you would'nt be posting questions on yahho answers, no? You can't be possibly serious. You are making fools of us, right??

If you enjoyed the dream in your waking hours, then yes. Dwelling on sin will only cause the sin to spread, but don't just ask forgiveness. Repent, and get the nasty business behind you (oh, how I wish it were that easy!) Repent, and FORGET about it. :)

I think you should ask yourself why you enjoyed it. What about the sinful act was enjoyable? Ex. Killing someone Did you enjoy the power? Why is power so enjoyable? IF you think about why you enjoyed the sinful act, it may give you a path as to why you also feel guilt. IF you feel guilt, then you didn't truly enjoy it. Alot of sins have to do with power. Sex can be about power. Do you feel in control of your life? Do you feel loved by those around you?

a person cannot help what they dream about, whether it is good or bad. when we have bad dreams we wake up frighten vice versa for good dreams, the Bible tells us to guard our mind of evil thinking but it didn't say we can control what we dream, sometimes God deal with us in dreams and visions, but satan can also get into our dreams called nightmares, but if you have a dream and it make you feel guilty because of it, then by all means ask God to forgive you. He is a forgiving God!

That's ridiculous. fear is only fear itself. I have sinful dreams all the time. In fact I planned a robbery and made it look like an inside job and got away with it 20 years ago. Hows that for sinful action and I netted $20,000.00 on that pitch!

Hi, you dont have to ask for forgivness for you are not acting on your thoughts. Thoughts are just that, and if you get a certain pleasure out of it let it be so and do not be ashamed of it, for only in our thoughts do we truely have free will. Dont let religion controll every aspect of you for that was the goal from the beginning. Oppression is what is happening here but dont fall victim. There might be a gun held to your head called hell, but it will only shoot it you act out. Your thought are yours to treasure, for if thoughts are to be judged we are all going to hell, because the truth of why we act a certain way will be known, like not going to an ungly place with fire for the rest of eternity.

I hope i have not offended you :P

The dream probably comes about because it's your subconsious's way of expressing what is repressed. That's not just a Freudian theory, by the way. If you are overindulgent about it, then ask for forgiveness if you really feel guilty, but you can't help the dream, and repressing it will just make the dreams recur more often, I would bet.
