These "rules" are cited so often...and there are only 10 of them...so isn't it reasonable to expect that most Christians and/or Jews know them? So what are they?

Again, don't look them up anywhere else other than the inside of your own eyelids..

By the way, if you're Christian and admit you don't know more than five of them, you may get the 10 points just for dignified honesty.

(And I am aware of the variations....I'll take those into account.)

FaithPastor....Cluck, Cluck, Cluck!!

And by the way, how can you live them if you don't KNOW them?

I can't do it in order, but I will name all the ones I do know.

Do not bear false witness.
Do not kill.
Do not steal.
Do not commit adultery.
Do not worship any other gods.
Do not use the Lord's name in vain.
Do not covet your neighbors stuff.
Honor your mother and father.

I am a Christian. 80% is not that bad. I looked up the other two in Exodus 20 and discovered to my dismay that I forgot the following two:

Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy, and
No idols are allowed.

Thank you for asking this question.

Am I right in guessing that you could answer your question perfectly even though you are neither a Christian or a Jew?

Have a great evening!

Yes, that is easy to do. To teach children to memorize the ten commandments we use picture words. 1. Gorilla's imagine vegetables. (each first letter deals with that commandment. No other Gods before me, No graven images, name of the Lord God in vain. 2. Snakes hiss. (Remember the sabbath day to keep it holy, Honor thy father and mother. 3. Kangaroos are silly. (Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not commit adultery. Thou shalt not steal. 4. Frogs croak. (False witness and coveting) easy to remember and kids and adults get it well. Use these aids in the prisons as well. billy

1. If it's not fun don't do it
2. Be reasonable with rule 1, eg if you don't enjoy doing something but life would be pants without you doing it, do it anyway.
3. Have regular parties
4. Everything you do must include something purple
5. Be good to people, within reason

That's all the commandments. Well, taht's in the book of Bexleyness. If you want the Bible ones, I can't remember all of them. I can't even remember 7 deadly sins and I played one once!

I am new to being a full Christian (believed in God all my life, but never did anything about it), so I don't know them all by heart, but I bet I could guess them just from common sense, and I'm learning the Bible FAST, so ask me in about 2 weeks!!
