Actually a study in 2003 shown that the majority of 100 men and 100 women who speak the French language around the world say "Pardon my French" in French which translates to "Pardonnez mon français" meaning "Forgive my French" but researchers believe that over 75% of the citizens of France do not cuss because sometime during World War II there was a zero tolerance cussing policy which involved immediate death by rifle men.

Actually, I think they would have to say, "pardon my American..."
The overuse of profanity in the US (and on TV) is embarassing.
