Find a picture of someone who is thin but toned . Go through magazine's. Hang that picture on a wall of your place that you mostly stay in. Each time you see this picture it might motivate you to start exercising. I don't go to a gym but i'm skinny too. But toned.

The best way is to get an exercise buddy. If you have a partener to go with you, you're more likely to stick with the exercise routine. Also, plan out a little reward system for yourself...If you exercise 10 times in two weeks, go buy yourself a new shirt, or a trip to the spa, whatever you like. That way you have a little more incentive to reach your goal.

Sorry, with all these great answers I guess I haven't got a chance for the 10 points.
I'm so unfamiliar with the gym, I call it "James".
I was going to do a sit-up, but the summer just got away from me.
My wife got an exercise bike and wanted us to exercise together....so I got a sidecar for it.
I could get in shape if it wasn't for that darn commitment
I can resist anything but temptation.
The biggest problem is everything that is bad for you is so tasty.

Go shopping and buy a dress you really want but knowing it will look even better IF you were tones up, or same thing but a swim suite.

Find something to do that you find interesting. Instead of hitting the treadmill, take up a sport. If you like people, pick a team sport; if you like the outdoors, pick and outdoor sport; if you like pudding, wrestle; etc.

choose something that you really want--a new outfit, new cd, new purse, etc. each time you work out, put some money into a jar. the more you exercise, the sooner you can get your prize.
