He can be a racist and a bigot as much as he wants in his own house or his apartment. We already have lot of problem in this world. This kind of politician's remarks add more problem to our country.

First as a Southerner the Confederate Flag is not a racist item. Some racist have chosen to use it, but it is a symbol of the Southern Confederate States. Those who had ancestors die in Civil War under that flag fought for the freedom to succeed from
Union not because they were bigots. 2nd Northerners had slaves too including President Lincoln. 3rd Why should Senator Allen resign because you think he should, when you are uninformed.

I think it is easy to label any conservative a bigot or worse right now, it is vogue to do so. but really is this senator going to look right at this kid's rolling camera and call him the equivalent of a "spook" or "*******" or" stupid mick" I honestly think this guy misspoke and did not undersatnd the nickname his aides had given to the "spy" was a racial slur in North Africa.

if a black person makes any racial comments they are given free pass after free pass... because hes white hell be forced from office. thats the new america. jesse jackson and al sharpton say racial hatred all the time and all they get is an opportunity to run for president. charles barkley, halle berry, marion berry... you remember the crack smokin, hooker baiting mayor from georgia? he was even reelected again for mayor... oprah winfrey, paul mooney, dave chappelle, the list goes on and on...what adds problems to this country is you thin skinned liberals sending out a lynch mob towards white republicans but ignoring your own partys bs.

And que the apologists. He is a racist coward who doesn't have the conviction to admit that he was calling this young person a monkey. Racists, cowards, liars, and apologists stick together, and some of the replies on this thread reaffirm that statement.

We elect representatives, not saints.

Where did the stupid idea that representatives should be saints ever come from?

I'd rather be represented by an effective devil than an incompetent saint.
