I have a 14year old male Budgie, and I am wondering if anyone else has had one live this long?

The vet clinic where I work saw one last week that was 22. Yes, 22 years old!! The lady got it when she got her first apartment right out of college and has had it every day since. It has a unique marking on it's head so it's not like someone switched it out while she wasn't looking.
Hope yours lives that long.

From my understanding, budgies live between 10 and 14 years on average. Sorry I don't know the oldest one, check the Guiness website.

My mother had a budgie that lived to 17 years but usually they live up to 10 years when they are kept as a pet. Breeding birds live on average 7 years as breeding constantly puts a lot of pressure on them.

Show off. Just kidding!!! Hey that's great. My first Budgie lived for nine years. The last two lived for seven. What brand of seed and vitamin do you feed your bird. I want him to live longer.
