What does amputation feel like? Does it hurt alot?

I fell down the stairs 2 weeks ago and just about lost my baby finger, doctor was able to sew it back on but its sooo cold and its numb but it hurts like the devil when I start coming down from the drugs. Its not infected
I don't think Im going to be able to keep it..... AND it sure has slowed my typing down!!!!!

i cut my fingertip off with an axe. they've sewn it back on and fortunately it has taken but its been a long slow healing and I have not got full feeling back yet. It also gets cold extremely fast. I have a few friends who are amputies who tell me it still itches even though its not there. Nerves are crazy things.
