My advice is......DON'T. Golf sucks! Stick with hockey, a real sport....or possibly soccer. As Bob Hope said, "If you watch a game, it's fun. If you play it, it's exercise. If you work at it and learn to hate it, it's golf!"

Yeah use the clubs. . it'll save you some money as you are starting off golf. Golf is an expensive sport, so try to be resourceful at this point.
What you call "drivers" are not all drivers. Those are called "woods." Those clubs are the ones with the big heads. The driver is the one with a #1 on it. The 3 is called a 3-wood. Then 5-wood, and so on. The lower the number, the farther the distance. The smaller clubs are called irons. These usually start with 4 then 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. These are used for shorter distances compared to the woods. Next, there are the pitching wedge and the sand wedge. The Pitching wedge is used around the greens for short distances, while the sand is used to get out of the sand. You know what the putter does . ..
Just remember, the lower the number, the longer the club, which means you use it for longer distances. Test out the clubs to get your average distance for a club, then add or minus 10 yards for every club before or after that.
The driver is used to tee off at every hole. You use a tee when hitting with this.

You are missing a Putter, 9 iron and 1 to 3 wedges (sand pitch, lob, gap etc.,). By the way one of those two drivers is a 3 wood.
As a non golfer the set you have is more than adequate to learn to hit a golf ball and eventually play golf but you will need to add a putter.
You can add a used putter and sand wedge for under $20 if you look around pro shops and golf store for used clubs.
Chances are selling them for anything more than $40 of $50 would be difficult. You may not be able to sell them at all. Used clubs have very little value unless they are antiques.
You best bet is to go to a driving range with some one who plays golf and with his help try to find out if you can hit a golf ball, if you enjoy it and if you want to proceed farther.
Golf is a tough game if you don't enjoy it give the clubs to a youngster who might grow up to be a superstar and remember you!

Well you've got close to a full set. You're missing a 9 iron, pitching wedge, and sandwedge. By rules you can have 14 clubs. So in addition to the 9 iron and wedges I add a 5 wood for a complete set.
I'd play buy if you've never played I'd recommend taking some lessons. The happy Gilmore swing doesn't really work on the golf course. I played 20 years before I took lessons and never got any better until I started lessons. I wish I had taken lessons first it would have been more enjoyable.
That pulling the shirt over their head and beating on them hockey stuff might be handy on the public courses though.

Cool. Free clubs. I would suggest that in learning to play, since the other brilliant people have filled the rest of your bag with the proper clubs, start with your wedges. Practice chipping and putting. This is the part of the game where you accumulate the most strokes. And since you want a low score, accuracy around the green is crucial. You can learn to hit the long shots later.
come to SC and play with me. Oh, that didn't sound right. Happy golfing, Gilmore!!!

DON'T!!!!
Once you get bitten by the golf bug, you might be affected for life. And golf is not an cheap sports. Because you will want to take courses to improve. You will want to go to courses to play. You will want to change your clubs thinking that it will improve your score. You will want to go to the range to hit, hit and hit. It never stops. So far I know of no medicine to help if you get bitten by the golf bug.
For your info. If your club starts from 2, it is most likely a men's club (PLEASE I am not being a sexist here) and it's most likely at least 5 years old. Most set nowadays starts from 3 (for men) and 4 (for women).
Well if you plan to pick up golf for life, then use them. Just use them 1st and when you need to change, sell them.
