there is no "federal pistol permit license", the states regulate the carry and registration of handguns.

I see the rumor is resurfacing about a federal carry permit. A states CCW often reciprocates with other states, a "federal carry permit" would allow a user to carry in any of the 50 states. Since many states have vastly differing CCW laws, trying to institute a federal carry permit would be impossible.

im not sure but you might be able to get one at a gun shop and i know the benifits of it are you can legaly carry the pistol with you over state lines throughout the country

For a concealed carry permit, first check to make sure your state allows, CC. Thanks to the NRA and others, most states now allow private citizens of the US to actually defend themselves "legally"..
