I LOVE CESAR! He is so great! I have a sibe who was semi-aggressive with my 8 year old. I used alot of his techniques on her and now she is ALMOST perfect. :) What he does with dogs is amazing. I've seen alot of people on his show who were ready to put their dogs down and he saved those dogs by teaching the owners techniques on correcting behavior. Amazing!

I think Cesar is amazing! His insight into dogs, his manner with dogs is inspiring.

Another trainer, (also gives seminars) who is absolutely wonderful but doesn't have the national exposure of Cesar is German Shepherd breeder, Suzanne Clothier. She has a wonderful book out called "Bones Would Rain From the Sky".

You have to read her book to understand how astonishing this woman is with dogs. Her technique is (at the most basic) that when training a dog, listen to what he tells you, and most important, never lose the light shining in your dog's eye. If you do, you're doing something wrong, so back up. This is a great book.

I think anyone who touts being a great dog lover and then chains a dog to a treadmill and leaves it unattended should not have his own TV show. The dog required extensive veterinary attention and nearly died from damage to his trachea...

So I don't like anyone who tortures animals... it's one thing to put a dog on a treadmill... it's entirely different to go outside for 20 minutes while the dog is still chained to it.

actually i have tried some of his techniques with my dog and they helped a lot. my dad also trained our pitbulls only from his techniques and dog psycology, using instinctual behavior to train them. they were great dogs. one used to give me piggy back rides around the back yard as a toddler.
