You bet. The things we fear the most have already happened to us.

I was very much haunted by some past things I did in my life. I had to go back to the church where I was a member but had not attended for 20 years, make acknowledgements.I had to ask Gods' forgiveness also. I am now attending that church and those haunting thoughts don't bother me anymore.

I don't know if it is really haunted or not. Here is my thing; From the age of 9 to 13 I was sexually abused by my step dad. When I finally told at the age of almost 14 it was a living hell through court. It hurt my family bad. We had to live in one room for a 10 months. I still worry about my ex-step-dad coming after me again and dream that he does sometimes. I have to tell myself that if he does come after me again at least I will know how to handle it. I try to think that he is to scared to come after me. I pray that God will keep me safe and not let him do anything to me. I guess he still haunts me but I would tell you to pray and just think about the positive things in life.

Think that you are here and now.. and the past is gone.. you can't change it or do anything about it.. If you keep let it hurt or wishing you had done different.. you will only give it more energy and it WILL keep getting worst!.. Let it go.. but little by little.. don't stress too much about it... If someone hurt you...know that it was out of your hands and you could have done NOTHING about it..becasue that is all you knew THEN.... .. If it was something you did.......You need to forgive yourself! Imagine that you are so unhappy about it.. that it is affecting everyone close to you.... Is that what you want??

I struggled with that for a long time. I learned recently in the Bible that the mourning period for death is 30 days. Wow, I wish I knew that earlier. I guess sometimes I feel that I deserve to feel guilty or think I could have done things differently. God doesn't want us spending the rest of our lives in regret or pain.
Don't feel guilty to do fun things, or to meet new people. I actually found that working was a great healing for me, because it took my mind off things. Helping people is the best healer, I think. Don't be afraid to try new things, and write about your feelings!
