the big bang is a well tested theory, I believe all the scientific evidence is the result of how God "spoke" the universe into existance. Evolution is also a well tested theory, I believed it occured admist the 7 "day" creation> comments>>

THE BIG BANG ISN'T WELL TESTED!?!?!?

They can't test it or recreate it.

You don't test theories....you test hypothesis.

EVOLUTION IS NOT WELL TESTED EITHER!!?!?

BUT I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOUR BIBLICAL THEORY OF BOTH!!

Yes I believe in God. But the Big Bang Theory is in a bad shape today. There are many books written that exposes the theory as weak, both philosophically and scientifically. For example, consider the book "Dismantling the Big Bang" co-authored by Alex Williams and John Hartnett. Also, evolution is certainly well-tested, and found to be wanting! And most certainly the belief in evolution CANNOT be reconciled with a plain reading of Genesis 1. Lastly, there is a big bang in the Bible, and its coming in the future when the Bible says that our present heavens and earth will be dissolved with fervent heat, and there will be a new heavens and new earth!

It can be easily proven that the universe is expanding, therefore it must have originated from a single point. The background radiation of the universe proves that there was an immense amount of energy released at that point, necessary to create all the matter in the universe (E=Mc2). So it probably was a "Big Bang". The only difference between evolutionists and me is that they believe it was accidental, uncontrolled, chaotic. I believe it was planned, controlled, organised - by an intelligent designer.

Belief in science and belief in God are not two mutually exclusive things.

I believe in God and the Big Bang... Believing in the theory of evolution or other scientific theories doesn't make me any less faitfhul.

I beleive in God, the big bang and the evolution !
It's actually easy.
God didn't tel us how he started the creation of the world. I ven find the Big Bang as a proof of creation "It's the first momnt of our world"
The evolution of creatures is the best tool god equiped with his creatures to keep living in an eve changing environment.
I beleive that the only Alien to earth is man that have been created to fit in his environment.
The Mirecle would be man's ability to even think using two pounds of matter.
Would you beleibe it if we fount a Pentium D (R) in the sand created by itself. Then how do you think that this extraordinary tool is the creation of mear anarchy
BTW the seven day theory is easy to understand (Time is relative even in our world)

That's more reasonable than a lot of things. Time is reletive, so seven days to god could be seven billion years or something. And in the sixth day, god made man right? And in the seventh, he rested. So, by that logic, it could be that god is still resting, and you can stop bellyaching to him, because when he stops resting it'll be because the universe is old and he's making a brand spanky new one. Kind of like a clockmaker, who makes a new clock once every week.

"Oh, but god is all loving, he wouldn't throw us away!" Well, okay, if that's what you wanna believe. I'll stick with mechagod

I partly agree with you there. Both Creation and Evolution go hand in hand, however, I believe that the Big Bang theory is crazy. As I have answered to similar questions...Dr. J Vernon McGee stated in his Thru The Bible series:

The Universe and such being created by a big bang is about as believable as the Websters Unabridged Dictionary being created by an explosion in a print shop.

Doesn't that make sense? Not in a billion years, with a billion explosions a day, in print shops would you get the Dictionary...would you?

But, I again do believe that Evolution and Creation go hand in hand.

This is the MOST COMMON mistake that most Atheists make and that is they think ALL religions are against science hence they are all wrong.

Would you be shocked if I told you that we as Muslims have been believing the Big Bang Theory since last 1400 years?
Would you be shocked that if i told you, we believe that universe used to be in a form of gas or smoke and then God gave them a solid body to most of them since last 1400 years?
Would you be shocked if I told you that Muslims believe this earth is in an egg shape of an Ostrich?
Would you be shocked if I told you Muslims believe that Iron came from outside of this earth for the past 1400 years?

My guess is you'd think I am lying but I will be more than happy to give you the verse of Quran and related science reseach link. Just send me an e-mail.

You can't believe in God AND the big bang theory at the same time. God created everything. The big bang is only a theory.

Yes, I also think GOD was involved in all aspects of the universe and our development, using laws HE decided upon.
Thus, HE gave people enough evidence to be comfortable in whatever they finally decided, using their free will, as GOD is not going to force people to follow him.

Yea, God spoke and BANG it was.

Other than that, there is no scientific PROOF, only theory to support the Big Bang Theroy, hence its title.
