Umm...proud Mexican, my grandparents came here legally - so don't throw that in my face when the topic is ILLEGAL immigration.

I was born here and love this land and respect all of it's laws. I just wish they were enforced.

And Pancha, what you said was painfully ignorant. I for certain wasn't an ANCHOR BABY because my grandparents were already citizens when their children were born. Reasonable logic would imply that my mom was a citizen when I was born. How am I an Anchor Baby, as their purpose is to keep illegals in?

Dude, you are getting a lot of bad answers, cause the question is asked wrong.

I think I know what you are trying to say. I am definitely for building a wall and making a real effort to stop illegal Mexican immigration. (That includes any nationality crossing the US-Mexican border).

Now you are correct that those of us born here are technically not immigrants. My own ancestors came to this country in the 1600's and my direct ancestors were the first white Europeans in the southwestern counties of Virginia. That being said, my family were immigrants to this country albeit a very long time ago.

So I believe that is an unfair characterization made by illegal immigrants to this country that we are in fact all immigrants. That as you point out is not quite the truth.

The truth no matter what position you take is that there are nearly 11 million (that we are aware of) illegal immigrants in this country (and again the great percentage are Mexican).

We have a very real problem and again I would agree that being Pro-Immigration should in no way be used to justify "ILLEGAL" immigration to this country.

That's is what we are really talking about. And a better way to ask the question would be "Why would any American Citizen be in favor of "ILLEGAL" immigration???"

They don't get it, do they? Oh, by the way..."Proud Mexican" tells me to shut up all of the time too. She keeps forgetting she isn't in Mexico and that as Americans we have freedom of speech. I don't understand why they can't be proud in their own country. They make themselves look so ridiculous.

the girls here are tough.
and your ignorant,
did you cross the border illegally ?
that's who's called an illegal immigrant.
if you got lucky enough to get papers and enter legally your an immigrant.
if your born here your a citizen.
so if you were born here , who's calling you an immigrant?
guilty conscience ?
where are you from that your being called an immigrant?

Of all the people living or dead in America, 14% were immigrants and 84% were CITIZENS that built this country.

I am not, nor ever have I been, an immigrant.

Ok thanks for the fun fact. ...

btw- Patrick your wrong. None of my family members were ever illegal. My family has not been here for generations, and when they did come here it was LEGAL. My mother is an immigrant from Argentina- legal. My fathers parents..immigrants but still legal. SO yeah just because you live in America and are white it does not mean WE stole the land from Native Americans.

Dude,,,,,if you're from another country, and you don't have a green card, you should be sent back.

I personally don't care if you've had kids here, sent your kids to school here, or had them raised here- ship'em all back.

I'm the guy who wants to take the man killing Florida Alligators and put the in the Rio Grande to stop immigration

At some point in your history, all of your ancestors were illegal immigrants. Did they ask the Native Americans if they could stay and take all of their land? Oh, yeah, they did. While they point guns at their heads...
