You should go to Nagoya Station. There is a Information Desk there. They'll probably be able to help you. Whenever I travel, these Info Desks have always helped me to the best of their abilities.

Usually the same places that sell baseball gear have martial arts supplies. There are some indepedant kendo shops as well. You need to check with the police first before buying a live blade, but it's not a big deal. The schools order shinai and baseball bats etc. in quatity, hence the baseball/martial arts connection.
