Do you mean "convection" oven?
"Convection ovens/fan ovens heat air that is then circulated in the oven by an embedded high temperature fan.
By moving heated air past the food, convection ovens can operate at a lower temperature than a standard conventional oven and they can cook food more quickly. Convection ovens also generally do not have "hot spots" and thus cook more evenly. They are mostly used in industrial and commercial applications, but can be purchased for domestic use.
With a convection oven there will be about a 25 to 30% reduction in cooking temperature and a 21% reduction in cooking time, compared to a conventional oven (however this comparison depends on certain factors, such as how much food is being cooked at once or if airflow is being restricted by using an oversized baking tray for example).
Convection ovens demand a premium with basic home models costing approximately 40% more than a functionally equivalent conventional oven.
Another form of a convection oven is an impingment oven. This type of oven is often used to cook pizzas in restaurants. Impingment ovens have a high flow rate of hot air from both above and below the food. The air flow is directed onto food which usually passes through the oven on a conveyor belt. Air flow rates can range between 1-5 m/s.
Impingment ovens can achieve a much higher heat transfer than a conventional oven."

Perhaps you mean a convection oven. A convection oven cooks food faster than a regular oven. It uses fans to distribute hot air evenly around the oven causing the food to cook more evenly and quickly. A conventional oven is a regular oven.

Thats a trick question, right?
There are now 4 general types of ovens for home use.
1) Conventional oven with heater elements
2) Microwave oven
3) Microwave oven with convection cooking (can work like a conventional oven)
4) Steam oven (I've never used one)
Basically the first type is used for baking, roasting, grilling, making pizza, cookies, etc. The third type is a microwave that can bake, grill etc.
I can't help you with no. 4 though. Happy cooking.

A conventional oven is a standard (gas or electric) oven.
A convection oven uses a fan to circulate the heat and cooks a little faster than a conventional oven.

Heh.
I think you mean "convection" oven, which has a fan in it to circulate the air around your food. The hot air moving over the food cooks it faster, more evenly, and at a lower temperature than a regular oven, which relies simply on the oven chamber being hot to get the cooking done.

a convection oven works with a fan circulating hot air in the oven making things cook faster and more even. a conventional oven works by convection heat, a heated coil or flame in the bottom or top of the oven

I think you mean a convection oven. It cooks in a smaller space, with fans blowing the heat all around the surface of the food, so it cooks faster.

i think you mean a convection oven, it works on the concept of hot air being distributed or blown within the oven. a regular one is heated by heating coils that distribute the heat from top down.

Nothing.
As long as it is not a convection oven too or any other combination oven.. Just a plain old everyday oven.
