The bible was written by man, not God. God guided what was written and some of the books of the bible are first hand accounts what was witnessed. We as Christians believe that both the old and new testaments are correct. The difference is the birth and life of Christ. The old testament is there for us to learn from, the new testament is for us to live by since we are not under the old law but are covered by the grace and sacrifice of Christ.

The New Testament is the way to go, and was meant for us. If you believe Jesus is the son of God, then you should listen to what the New Testament says when there is a contradiction with the Old Testament. The Bible is always changing, and throughout history books have been added and removed. We may never know what all has ever or could have been in the Bible as it is translated and re-interpreted. It will always be there for its reader to help re-connect with God and Jesus; especially the New Testament.

I've heard it said that the Old Testament is the New Testament concealed and the New Testament is the Old Testament revealed.
The bible is a compilation of 66 books written by 40 different authors over thousands of years that tells "the greatest story ever told"....about Jesus Christ.
I trust it with my life...this life and the next. I think a person who comes to believe they can believe the bible as God's inspired word is one of the most fortunate persons who has ever lived.

Both are correct. The New Testaments highlights and corrects the misleading interpretation of the Old Testament by the hypocrites.

Both are as far as the Jewish(OLD TESTAMENT) go and the New TESTAMENT as far as true Christians go.
For Christians the OLD TESTAMENT is to be used more as a history lesson of the events that lead up to the Crucifixion and Ascension of Christ is concerned for the begining of life on this Physical world is concerned.

Both. The Old Testament is FULL of prophecies of the coming of Jesus, and it was used to prepare the Jews for conversion to Christianity with the coming of the Messiah. The New Testament is the story of the coming and Resurrection of Christ, and prophecies of Armageddon. They are one continuous book.

The Bible is the Word of God, but it wasn't strictly written BY God... a hand didn't reach down from the clouds and pen each page.
The words are from God, written by our hand. Both books are correct.

BOTH.
Is this your opinion? Do you think the Bible is God’s word, or man’s? However you answer that question, consider this point: If the Bible is merely man’s word, then logically there is no clear answer to mankind’s problems. Humans will just have to muddle through as best they can, hoping somehow to avoid poisoning themselves out of existence or blowing themselves up in a nuclear war. But if the Bible is the Word of God, it is the very thing we need to get us through this difficult time.

The Bible was written by people. It wasn't meant to be taken literally.
