There are many. I remember visiting a site sponsored by AA and NA on MSN Groups. The "meeting" starts at a certain time and it is a good thing. There is another site called "Rational Recovery"-
http://rational.org/ They oppose the "group" approach- they believe that the groups are filled with bible toting, higher power seeking "derelicts". It seems like they believe that the addict/alcoholic got into the mess on their own and can "easily" get out of it under most circumstances. They call themselves Rational Recovery and use a system called AVRT- Active Voice Recognition Technique.
Personally- I like the 12 step approach, the finding and seeking of a higher power, addicts helping addicts and the personal meetings- It works. The answer to abstinence is out there somewhere- each person has to find what works for them- and apply it.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, Courage to change the things I can and Wisdom to know the difference.
