I saw a law that is going to be passed that landlords cannot rent to immigrants. How can you deny someone a home? This whole thing with immigration is getting out of hand. Why are you worrying on immigrants when you should be worrying about the safety of your phone calls, the lunacy of the president, the "do-nothing" Congress, the fact that the U.S. is doing nothing to help the situation in Lebanon? Why don't you worry about those things instead of immigrants who just want to live better lives?

I am not asking for amnesty or for our borders to be left wide open. I just want the hate, bias, bigotry and racism to be seen for what it truly is, fear and ugliness. I do believe something needs to be done about our immigration laws, but why do these people have to be seen as less than?

,illegals=law breakers plan and simple. There are lot of issues we need to address as a nation and not just the immigration. If they want to live here then they need to go by the laws. We legals has laws and rules to follow so should they, Are they beneath them,,I dont think so.But they sure try to go around them.

If the immigrant is not a citizen, s/he is not equal. It's a fact. All those things you talked about, like congress, the president, state department, the courts, fair housing laws, the policing of phone service -- or just plain policing -- are all services that are created for, paid for by and controlled by citizens.

What you are advocating is simply opening the doors of this country to anyone. This has NEVER been the policy of this country and it's not likely to change anytime soon, if ever -- and this has been the decision of the citizens of this country through their elected representatives.

Are we responsible for doling out better lives for people? No. We can not afford it, especially these days. Consider this: who is MORE responsible, the US or the countries that these people are coming from? The sad fact is that bringing in those needing a better life -- at least on the scale you're talking about -- will almost certainly sacrifice our own economic security and welfare. That's a fact, too.

Can our security stand letting in anybody? No. These days everyone trying to come into this country should be suspect. We don't make the rules -- you might want to check with the terrorists on this -- but we certainly need to live by them.

If you feel sorry for people trying to immigrate here, my suggestion is make sure their own government's are doing their part. Contribute to causes that promote opportunity around the world. Do what you can to make sure people have good reasons to stay in their own country.

The world won't fit in the US, and if they were all able to squeeze in it wouldn't be worth being here anyway. The world needs to take care of its own in their own parts of it. Make THAT happen.

First off, they are criminals and this is protecting the landlords from harboring felons, which is a crime. Second, it only applies to the illegal immigrants and there is a huge difference. Third, we have to make them live in the street because we don't want them to get too comfortable before the bus shows up. They need to remember where they came from and where they're headed.

The Law your referring to is in Hazelton, PA. It states that Landlords found to be renting to ILLEGALS < Note ILLEGALS > Will be fined 1,000 dollars per day. for every day they rent to an ILLEGAL. It also states Business will have there Licenses revoked if found to have Employed ILLEGALS: And it also declared ENGLISH the Official Language. Which means NO drivers exam's in any language but English and that applies to ALL government documents as well. The town is ATTEMPTING to do what our Federal Government refuses to do.

I believe the law specifies Illegal immigrants, not people who came to the country legally. The ones who work but don't pay taxes.

The law is against ILLEGAL immigrants, not immigrants. It's against the law to enter this country illegally. If you don't even know what is going on, don't ask questions.
To bring you up to date. Our country is being destroyed by illegals. Not that they care. When they can't suck any more out of us, I guess they'll just move up to Canada.

because in another country your not treated equal. It's not about equal it's about intruding... on a country your not paying taxes on or doing anything for and basically doesn't need you there if your not a tourist. We have our own problem don't Suck us dry... We don't want to end up Like the country you fleaing from, because people like you destroyed it. If your so good Mr. Immigrant work in your own country pay taxes in your own country conform your own country not the U.S. We are more educated and don't need ignorants here.... thanx.

It is illegal immigrants ... not immigrants in general ....

People that apply to live in the U.S. get the exact same treatment ( minus the ability to run for president).

Many people cannot rent at certain apartments because they have felonies or bad credit, why shoudl illegals - which are criminals, be exempt from our laws?
