I have never taken out financial aid for college. I am an independant student, and i went to the financial aid rooom in my college. I got a paper, and i sent it home for my family to look at it and tell me more about it and what i need. Anyone in here have to take out financial aid, and how does one qualify for it?

You need to fill out the FAFSA (Free Appl. for Federal Student Aid). This will get you aid if you qualify. Qualifying depends on income, family info., tax info. ...basically if you need it. Also, you need to go to your college and ask them about aid from the state and the school. You may qualify for a grant. you'll never know unless you try! Good luck!
