if you have to ask these questions in an internet forum, hitting on bikini-clad girls is a bit out of your league

Why not? The most she might do is kick sand in your face...Seriously, though -- what difference would it make to make a gesture of friendship -- whether she's lying on the beach in a bikini, or dressed in a snowsuit on a ski lift?

Absolutely! If I were you, I'd use that Hi to open the conversation. Ask her if you can join her. Tell her she looks great in that bikini. Tell you were hoping you'd run into her on the beach. Pull up some sand and tell her what she wants to hear.

Is it OK?? She would prefer you not to. Believe it or not she's there to sunbathe . She'll probably want to get up and leave after she's aware some guy, ( YOU) has been eye balling her like a piece of meat. It's different if she's in a group and so are you. Then it feels safer for her.

It's better to wait until she gets up. Don't stare at her, just kind of keep her in your awareness and when she gets up to go in the water or whatever just say hi in a friendly way. You don't want to startle her. Also, this way you can see if she has a boyfriend there.

No it is not okay. She is going to think you are a creep. Walk by her and trip near her and say I can't believe that just happened. She may start up a conversation if you look good.

Yes, you will know if she wants you to stick around if you ask if you can sit down, if she says no or is getting ready to leave, or waiting for her boyfriend or husband, time to go.
