With a commercial disk that has brushes. You insert and "play it" in your drive just like a regular CD. You can buy them for about $5.

Head to Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart, or other retailer & buy a CD cleaning kit. Phillips Magnavox has one for about $7. It's a CD that you insert into the drive & it cleans the CD rom or DVD player. The CD has little brushes attatched to sweep out the dirt & dust. I've had mine for 3 years & I use it on 2 DVD players, my shelf stereo that plays 3 CDs & my computer CD rom. Some kits come with a cleaner or filler for scratched CDs. I had one of those too but misplaced the filler stuff.

Do NOT do it your self. Take your computer to a computer store that does it. The eye of the burner or player of a cd dvd or other drive is very delicate. Do NOT attempt cleaning it your self.
