Jesus came to us to give us His Church. That is, ONE Church, not many Churches.
To this day the Catholic Church has been steady and immovable as a Rock since Jesus Christ instituted it 2000 years ago.
Yes, there are many problems within the church today, it is because of the attacks of Satan.
The Catholic Church will weather this storm, just as it has for 2 millennium. And just as it seems that the Church will be destroyed, Our Lord will come to save it.
Protestantism, which are mostly Christian sects have been around less than 500 years (since 1517). And it has splintered over and over through the years. This was a reaction to human weakness within the Church and since then the Catholic Church has become better, that is , until the 1960's when Protestantism infiltrated the Catholic Church with the revamping of the Liturgy.
Now you can't tell an Anglican service from a Catholic Mass.
I guess the main difference between them is the Catholic belief in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Bread of Life, the Eucharist. Protestants believe it is only a symbol. John Ch. 6 explains why Catholics believe that Jesus gave us the Eucharist for our spiritual journey through life and to eternity.

Catholics are Christians. We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, who saved the world. As a Catholic, I believe that the Catholic Church is the fullness of Christianity, and that the other denominations, while not evil or altogether wrong, have simply broken away from the Catholic Church throughout its 2,000 year history due to various differences and misunderstandings.

Catholics have a lot of traditions that are man made. There are other books they believe are scripture, that are not in the Protestant bible. They believe in purgatory (not biblical), praying to Mary (not biblical), that when you take communion, it's actually real flesh and blood, and that if you are not in good standing in the Catholic church and keep all the "sacraments", you're not saved. They also think the pope is Christ's representative on earth, when the truth is....all of us have the same access to God as anyone else, through Jesus Christ alone.
Christians believe the bible only. Simple.

Chatolic? Unless you mean catholic. Catholics are Christians. They were the first Christians. The Christians you mention are the Protestants. There are many denominations of it.

Chatolic people are following the pope's orders, even it is bad for them. While Christians are following what their heart says and the bible.

There is no difference. Adherents of both CHatolicism and CHristianism will eventually turn up as molecules of CH4 (methane) given a desperately long maturation time.

Jon, The Mormon faith is the Christian faith. We declare to be Christ's church. therefore the pro call: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. some church homes say that we do not trust that Jesus is deity yet this isn't so. Jesus it the Christ, the literal actual and non secular Son of God. inheritor to the throne you may want to assert, and equivalent to God because he's God's son. different religions who declare to be Christians imagine that their view element or Pyridine Christ is ideal. they trust that he, God and the Holy Ghost are all one element wrapped up mutually. The scriptures do not educate this to be authentic in spite of the reality that. for instance: even as Jesus became praying to his father interior the backyard of Gethsemane even if, even as he stated: "Father, forgive them for they recognize not what to do." How about even as he became resurrected and took up his mortal body back. Proving that he now has a mortal body which has develop into perfected and immortal. in reality, it became in the time of a celebration of non secular leaders round 360 A.D. the position they determined that the pro Christian doctrine can be a perception interior the trinity. This %. became prevalent because the Nicene Creed and also you could seem it up for your self in case you do not trust me. So, who has the right theory about the nature of God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost, and who genuinely replaced the reality? Which one lets you use your own loose employer and to confirm for your self by ability of prayer? which of them inform you that God does not talk to mankind any further and that you purely ought to apply faith? Is God an analogous at present, the day earlier to this and always? Then why would not he nevertheless talk to mankind? the position are the miracles like were recorded interior the Bible? would not God nevertheless talk to us by ability of prayer, and why won't be able to those different Christian church homes answer even the most effortless questions of existence alongside with: the position we got here from, why we are right here, and the position we are going? God has not left us on my own. He nevertheless speaks to mankind by ability of a residing prophet. The prophet is Thomas S. Monson, the Mormon prophet, and the Mormon church IS the church of Jesus Christ. it really is my witness to you. Of which I genuinely have stumbled on out for myself by ability of learn, and prayer and the witness of the Holy Ghost to my heart and concepts.

The Catholic Church prescribes different rites and ways of worship which I found more spiritually uplifting than attending one of the protestant church services.
The difference between catholics and protestants is the interpretation of the gospels in the new testament.

Catholicism is a branch of Christianity. All other forms of Christianity can trace their roots back to Catholicism, which came first.
