My friend is dating a guy that is much older than her and she's still under legal age. He is a very intelligent guy and knows right from wrong. He knows dating under age girls can get him in trouble. But he loves her sooo much. She is 16 and he is 28. They have been together for over a year and they really love each other and they would do anything to be with each other. Is this weird? Does age really matter? Would you do this if you really loved someone?

Age does matter abit because if people find out the age difference and they didnt like it, he could get charged. It would have been better if she was legal. She is only 16, she has alot of things to learn and just to act 16. Everyone needs friends and friends your own age. She might not be able to filful him for what he is asking or wanting. He could do as he pleases while she has to have permission from her legal gaurdian. If I was her I would be very careful. There is alot of factors that needs to be considered

The law is the law... any real chance of a future for these two is going to be filled with obstacles. Doesn't this guy watch the news or read the newspaper ???? about what happens to guys who have charges filed against them for inappropriate behavior with a minor??? Love is a choice , I respect boundaries especially those set up by the courts and legal system. I hope this 'VERY INTELLIGENT GUY" has contemplated the notion of the boundaries that he may find himself in if her parents press charges. Don't jail cells have very little square footage ???

The age difference would not matter, but she is under 18 and therefore a minor. That makes all the difference.

For his sake tell them to wait a few years...... it sounds a little dangerous for her as well. What do her parents think? How did a 28 year old meet a 16 year old? It's different when the couple have years between them and they're legal!!! Somebod is bound to get their heart broken, and my money is on her poor thing.

at the age of 14 ,I started dating a guy 19 years old , we got married when I was only 15 .Lasted for 5 years.What a mistake .

i guess age doesnt matter, i dont think i could be in a relationship like that, but as long as it seems healthy i dont think there is anything wrong.. they just have to be careful
