Like the tootsie-pop announcer says -- "the world may never know". This will never be a statistic that will be publish or published truthfully. This will tarnish the image of such camps.

No way to know how many, but I remember in high school the most action was to be had in christian groups. I think because there is a false sense of security around like minded teens, so they are more trusting of eachother or at least the girls trust the guys... and an awful lot of sex is then had.

After all the sexual abuse at the hands of priests, I'm surprised Christian summer camps haven't turned into one big gay fest.

For some people, religion is an intoxicant and their inhibitions are lowered by it. When sex happens, there is probably a shortage of available contraceptives - hence the pregnancies.

The lastest I read on abortion stated :On average, women give four reasons for choosing abortion. Three-fourths of women cite concern for or responsibility to other individuals; three-fourths say they cannot afford a child; three-fourths say that having a baby would interfere with work, school or the ability to care for dependents; and half say they do not want to be a single parent or are having problems with their husband or partner.

Forty-three percent of women obtaining abortions identify themselves as Protestant, and 27% as Catholic.

Over 60% of abortions are among women who have had one or more children.

Teenagers obtain 19% of the abortions

Black women are almost four times as likely as white women to have an abortion, and Hispanic women are 2.5 times as likely.

I am sure a lot.

Actually, a lot of kids who sign virginity pledges get more diseases than the rest because they don't use protection, and they are more likely to have oral or anal sex!
