I need my dogs (large dogs) to fly in the cargo area and need to chech the rates of several airlines. If possible I need links.

oh I cant fly delta they are wayyyyyy to expensive.

We used Continental from Vegas to Seattle and then Alaska Air to Anchorage for my cats when I moved to Alaska.

They will carry any animal on a plane.

Make sure you get a vet to give them a clean health certificate or the AK authorities will hold them in quarantine for 30-90 days. That would be expensive

Just start calling the various airlines. Check out the phone numbers for various airlines in the yellow pages and just start calling.

Your best bet is Northwest airlines....because it is only one stop from Atlanta to Anchorage....the last thing you want is to have your dog transferred several times....at various airports. Northwest is 1 stop. but be careful on your date of travel...the Northwest flight attendants are about to go out on strike!

All airlines accommodate pets. However, you should beware that hundreds of pets die in the cargo bay of planes. There is no data because the airlines are not required to record it. I believe that they die from freezing temperatures or lack of oxygen.
