You local supermarket has several lines of hair shampoo with "coal tar" as a prime ingrediant. A bit expensive (about $10/6oz.) but used daily in sparing amounts and with good scalp massage during the shamboo and all that "dry skin" will go away.

I personally like the Herbal Essence anti-dandruff shampoo. It works okay and it doesn't smell awful. I've tried others but didn't like the smell and the way they didn't lather like regular shampoo. That Listerine sounds interesting, might try but man how are you going to get that stank out?

if you get some malt vinager and poor it in to the affected areas and your scalp and rub it in and leave for a couple of minuetes then wash out and if you copy for up to 4 days to a week then it will be gone as the vinegar dries all the dandruff up.

i used to get dandruff really bad when my diet was awful. too much caffeine gives me dandruff. try the various shampoos. tea tree oil is helpful. if that's not enough, get something with chemicals.

(p.s. i've heard that coal tar stuff works)_

don't over-wash your hair. this causes your scalp to dry out and flake off even more.

selsun blue when you wash your hair will erase itchiness and flaking.
