The same reason why people smoke or do drugs. They either do it as a leisurely thing, they are severely addicted and cannot wait to have that drink, they just have to have that buzz, they think it's cool, there are many reasons why people do it. The biggest reason is, for most people it's an addiction

Not all people drink. Those who don't usually have enough self confidence and feeling of self-worth not to need alcohol to function in any environment. That leaves the rest of you.

They think it relaxes them, which it does, but it also depresses them in the long run.
Some people also do it because they think then, they can get away with acting like an a** and people will say oh well, she was drinking, so that's why.

social pressure. I personally think alcohol tastes really bad. I often wonder that too. I mean, when food tastes bad, we don't eat it twice. Alcohol tastes bad but because there's such a pressure to drink you drink.

On a different level I could say a word or two about WATER....isn't it GREAT!
But animals generally speaking live off of water, water based organisms we are in that way.... and well I think it's important for us to keep that in mind as we all SHOP for SOAPS or other things that we wash down our DRAINS and we need to think about groundwater SAFETY.... where do you wash your PAINTBRUSH?
