I wouldn't think it was icky. But I would wonder what the 2 of you would have in common. A lot of places you can go, she can't yet get in.
I can understand the problem though, it is one that I have as well. I have always attracted guys 10+ years older thanme. Not because I look old, but because of the way I carry myself. Never really did it though.
I would say be very careful and take things slow.

I would not say it is for sure an error in judgement. I married a girl overseas, was wwith her 15 days after we were married, and had to come back home. It was nine months before I was able to bring her over here. We have been happily married since 1973. If they truely love each other, the a little separation will not hurt them. Also, there is probably no reason she can't stay with her parents until he comes back.

My sister is 20 and was just dating a 36 year old guy. A friend of mine dated a 32 year old when she was 18. It depends on the person and the particular chemistry.

Why is a thirty year old guy going for a 19-20 year old anyways? Makes me think that it is probably the physical aspect.. so the getting to know crap is just a facade at least be honest about it, when you try to lie it makes you seem creepy

39 here and have gone out with 24 year old. It works if you both have the same likes and interests. Some younger girls don't want to just party around, they want someone to care about them, show affection and share good quiet times with. Romance, romance and romance.
