Does swallowing coffee beans give you an extra caffeine boost, and if so how long will it last?

I would think so-- but you would get more caffeine if you crushed the beans first.
Don't do too many as too much caffeine is deadly.

It would probably last a couple of hours like regular coffee.

Try chewing them, that will help them digest faster and give you the boost you are looking for. Chocolate covered coffee beans are a really good caffeinated treat.

Chewing them does. In fact, coffee didn't become a drink until relatively recently. You see, coffee beans are the seeds inside of berries, and Ethipoans (Ethiopia is the only country to which coffee is native) discovered that eating the berries gave them energy.

swallowin them won't,but once they are broken down in your stomach and they hit your blood stream they are
