My cat is sick and lathargic. he barely pees and when he does it smells and taste bad. What could be wrong ?

Im so worried. Today I noticed after tasting his pee and smelling it that it ws not normal. I love my cat and worry so much that something is wrong . Hes everything I have. My pets are my LIFE

Should I just put him to sleep because all next week its half price to put him down and I want to make a decision fast before the vet raises the price again. Thanks.

Why are you tasting your cats pee? That's gross. Sounds like he could have a kidney infection. Instead of worrying about half-price sales, you should take him to the vet. If your a real cat lover get him some help instead of thinking about money. It cost me over $300.00 when my dog had to get stitches a couple months ago from cutting her side on a piece of metal that came off my shed. Did I think it was the end? Did $300.00 hurt my pocket, oh yah it did! But I still have my dog and we are happy. Money doesn't mean anything if it's for the one you love and I just cut some things from my budget, like going out to eat and buying things I didn't really need, and not just waisting my gas to go places I could make in another trip that wouldn't take me out of my way.

I'm not sure what that could be.. I also have had cats all my life but the closest thing it sounds like to be is a blocked intestine.. but not sure... maybe the cat got a hold of some string or such material and this could be extrememly dangerous (Of course I could be wrong).. Take your cat to the VET as soon as possible so that he can get a check up to rule out this possibility. I know how you feel about your cats.. I feel the same way about mine :).. Good luck.

Your cat has been feeding on those cockroaches in your trailer. This is terrible. Now we will never get an accurate scientific result on the great possum vs. cockroaches experiment. Lock your cat out of the trailer and (a) your cat's urine will return to its earlier bouquet and (b) we will have a better idea of whether the possum, on its own, can eat all the cockroaches. Please remember, you are not just doing this for your self, you are serving Mankind with your efforts.

I am a lover of pets I am sorry your cat is sick. you say your pets are your life. tasting pee could be your death, the doctors can't cure the sickness we have now, don't make a new disease. tasting pee is a bit much.

first of all, why are you tasting your cats pee?

I'm guessing you really don't care about your cat if you want to put it down while prices are low.

Take your cat to the vet and take care of your cat that you supposedly love

Could be a urinary tract infection. That is common in cats, especially male cats. At least have a vet look at your cat to see if anything can be done before putting it down.

And, just to let you know, pee is excretion from the body. Meaning, it's WASTE. Of course it will smell bad; what did you expect, perfume? And you probably shouldn't be tasting your cat's pee. That's like drinking out of a toilet bowl.

He could just be dehydrated. You need to take him to the vet. put your pet to sleep week" ! And for God's sake don't taste any more pee!
