From researching on the net, I have worked out what juice from concentrate is, but what I don't know is whether 100% juice is significantly healtier than juice from concentrate with regard to 5 a day particularly.

I have to agree with Kelli and Linda. Maybe some concentrate have extra vitamins added, I don't know, but its not fresh. Concentrate has been processed and has probably lost a lot of the natural goodness you get from fresh fruit. If you look in the supermarket at the leading brands you see that these are marketed as 100% fruit and will have the 5 a day label, concentrates wont.

"100% juice" just means it contains juice and nothing else. "juice from concentrate" can be 100% juice that has been concentrated (had some of the water removed) then reconstituted with water. I don't think there is a nutritional difference.

juice from concentrate is less nutritional because it's been 'messed with' if you like and after bring concentrated, looses some of its nutirional value. 100% juice contains all the nutrients because nothing has been done with that would cause it to loose any of its nutritional value.

the best way to get your 5 a day is to eat fruit, and then your guaranteed all the nutrients!

The concentrated juice has more nutriens, calories, vitamins, and is usually mixed with other fruits so concentrated is better. But its always better to either eat the actuall fruits or get 100% organic juice.

I know for a fact that frozen orange juice concentrate is healthier than regular juice...Higher amounts of vitamin C. You'll have to check if this applies to other juices, check nutritional information on the containers.
