Stop, think and look back on things, soul searching

I never got lost but come very close, exceedingly lucky to have a tiny preview of my life therefore remain very aware (too alert sometimes) to get lost.
But I am a soul searcher, I believe you need to learn absolutely everything about yourself including your positive and negative traits and it's not something we can do overnight, some never find themselves. Is it because they never took time to stop and look?
Life is chaotic and rushes by without thought of past events or emotions that can get locked and buried within but an urge to excape later on. Time has a bad habit of catching up on us and the more we can unlock these buried issues, let go of past haunts and discover the root to your negativity then the more chance you have of finding yourself, and never losing yourself.
I found it was everything I had to look at, all the little previews were telling me of events about me. All those events were trying so hard to make me get lost, and personally.......
