Here are some examples:

Food in a restaurant: $2.00 for arroz con pollo (rice with chicken)
Bottle of beer. $1.00
taxi. about $1.00 for 3 miles
bottled water. $1.00 very expensive
gasoline. $5.50 a gallon
bus ticket to Panama border from San Jose. $8.00 That is the maximum one would pay for a bus ticket to anywhere.

cheap hotel room in San Jose. Costa Rica back packers dorm room $8.00. Private room $20.00. That include free internet access and a pool. They have 5 computers to use.

cup of coffee 50 cents. Beats Starbucks by a mile.

i don't understand the question put any way not only in Costa Rica put the cost of living everywhere is going out the roof
