Yes he will be ok, and I actually say him masturbating every day is a good thing because over time if he does not already know how to do it this will help him be able to control his orgasm. When you are having sex and he is about to have an orgasm he can control that. If you have not gotten yours yet he will be able to control his release until you do by masturbating. It's more like practice makes perfect. So he as well as you will be fine.

Masturbation can become an addiction. Just like drugs it releases chemicals in the brain which can have a additive quality. If he does this to much his performance might be off for a while. But if this was an addiction he might want to get some professional help.

Masturbation is totally harmless physically, unless he's into something crazy, like sticking his penis into hazardous things or whatnot.
Mentally, though, it may be against one's religious beliefs, which can be troubling, especially for those who become ashamed of their private acts.
About the only common problem I know of is the tendency for people to combine masturbation with pornography. Not that there's anything wrong with porn, per se (I am not here to toss fire and brimstone at others), except that it tends to give people the wrong idea of what sexual intercourse is "supposed" to be (buff guy with honking penis and sexy starlet moaning her *** off, with no real emotion). It's generally not healthy, physically or emotionally, to try and mimic what happens in pornos unless both partners have talked about it and agree that they will enjoy it.
