My external drive icons disappear as soon as i remove a multi media card from the card slot on my PC?

How do I stop this from happening, i am tired of always having to restart my PC for the drive icons to appear again.

Their are diffrent types of Multi media drives. The one you have may be taking over the computers IRQ for that device. You may just want to contact Geek Squad to fix it.

That's odd.. they should reappear as soon as you put the card back in, or any other card, for that matter..
When the external drive isn't there, you don't need an icon pointing to it.
