i loved one person with my life years back-- and his life was partly in my hands. he had brain tumor. i could have kept him alive by putting him forever on respirator, no matter how brain dead he gets to be. it's the wonder of science.
i asked him what he wanted. he said he wanted to rest. i wanted him to rest, too. keeping him on respirator as he slips into coma is NOT a merciful act in my book-- it unnecessarily prolongs agony. it would never bring him back to me.
i prayed long and hard that he be healed; i cried my heart out to God to please heal him and keep him alive-- but i surrendered to His Holy Will. i did everything possible, medically, financially-- anything and everything to heal him-- but God decided otherwise. he slipped into coma. i declared DNR-- do not resusitate-- if his time comes. im not God, i'll NEVER be. we all go when it's our time.
i loved my son so very much, so much, too much, to let him go and rest in peace.

All depends on what is wrong.
if brain damage then, no I would pull the plug.
If they have a chance of coming out I mean more then 85% then yes I would keep the plug on.
But I know that it would be the most difficult decision that i would have to make and I hope that I never have to make that one.

I'm not sure what you're asking. Something tells me you kept this question very broad for a reason, but I think it's too broad to really answer.. for me anyways.

Give it everything I had and then some. It's a pretty big responsibility, but one you die trying to fullfill.

Depends if it is in their best interest. If they are suffering and cannot be cured, then maybe it is in their best interest to let them go.
