I need to replace a screen on a rear projection, Mitsubishi TV. The screen was accidentally pushed inwards, and got ripped in the process. The screen seems to be made of some sort of fabric/plastic. How much will it cost me to do that - and is it even possible? The TV functions ok, otherwise.

If you have a good TV set, the screen is specially designed to work with the optical system in that set. The screen is a critical component in picture quality. If you want to get the same quality picture you had before, you will have to replace the screen with the manufacturer's replacement part, and that is not easy and shoud be done by a qualified technician. Contact Mitsubishi to find out how much a replacement would cost.

$800 just to repair a television is far to plenty. If the television is couple of years previous, I propose getting a sparkling one. Get a plasma or liquid crystal show, they are getting rather low priced. Couple days in the past, I regarded interior the paper and there replaced right into a Samsung for $450 , 40 two inch style new in save. in case you reside in u . s . or Canada, there are continuously huge sales (black friday, boxing day). believe me it extremely is plenty nicely worth it. Projection television is superb. are not getting it fixed. except you adore your television like a member of your individual family members.
