Well of course depends on your age to begin with.
I'm an older gal...so the MOST I'd go is 10 yrs one way or the other....5 years is my normal rule of thumb though.
Given the choice between older/younger...always always OLDER. (for me)
I absolutely prefer someone my own age... I can and do make exceptions for most exceptional guys at times though.

I'm a male and obviously there are laws as to how young you can go, so I would never break any laws. I've date a girl 12 years older than me and she was just as immature as any girl I've dated. Age isn't all that important, just make sure you have something in common. The youngest I've dated was 5 years younger. If you're over 21 and like to party it's hard to date a girl that's younger then 21 because they can't get into bars. I'd say the range would typically be give or take 6 years around my own age.

The largest age difference I would allow between myself and a guy would be 15 years, and they would have to be older I would never date someone older than myself. For some reason I think that its OK for a man to date a younger woman, but a woman shouldn't date a younger man. I probably think this way because of society.

I'm a 17 year old female and I prefer older guys...usually early to mid 20's. But sometimes I do tend to go for older guys, not necessarily saying I would date them or have sexual relations however, at the moment I do like my boss who is MUCH older than me.

I have dated women 10 years younger and older than myself. I've also dated women barely a hundred pounds and other over two hundred pounds. I've dated women under 5 feet and nearly 6 feet tall.
Bottom line: The personality of the women wins me over every time...no exceptions!
