I always get most answers to questions in the "religion" category. I wonder, why. Don't think this is representative of the world at large.

Because in this country religion is big business. Religious institutions are tax exempt in the US. Religions in the US have to raise money from their followers to survive. Given these facts, is it any wonder that there are so many religions and that they are constantly looking for new members? More members = more money. Interesting concept.

In many European countries churches receive financing from the government. European Schools teach people how to think rationally, unfortunately our schools don't, they can hardly teach you to walk across the street safely. Anyone that is capable of rational thought sees that all religions are man made and promulgate lies and deceit.

I'm not religious, and I don't think that religion would matter to me that much if everyone else in this country weren't so religious. It effects the way I live, what laws are passed--and I'm not even Christian!

But I know what you mean. If I go to another category, there's a question posted every 2hours. In R&S, there's 5 questions posted every second.

religion and god is what most people consider the most imporant in their lives. About 75% of people worldwide are spiritual> if we look at history, many wars have been fought over God> God is something so important that people are willing to die for him> God/spirituality is "wired" into our brains and thoughts. I believe that God left an "imprint" in our hearts and thoughts so we could know where we came from>

with out religion no one would have any morals their would be no laws and you would not have any hope. religion teaches morals it says that you should not kill so most people don't kill. religion teaches them not to kill. the reason why their will be no laws is because most laws are from religion like killing, stealing, the Court system, and many more. the reason why you wont have any hope is because when you are in trouble you won't have anything to believe in.
