In the case I'm refering to. Two guards were pursuing an ILLEGAL Drug smuggler. The man turned and one of the guards thought he may have a gun and fired hitting the man in the But. The DA filed charges against teh two Border Guards and gave the ILLEGAL FULL Amnesty for his testimony.

I know exactly which case your talking about in Texas. Did you see the interview with one of the jurors today saying that these two agents are innocent and that the jury was basically forced to find them guilty? Such a tragedy!
To start at petition you can always go to www.care2.com. There may already be a petition about this case on that site. But there are hundreds of petitions on this site. Good luck!

There are petitions. I put one up on this forum a few days ago. I have signed it, of course. This is an outrage. These guys deserve medals, not prison time. The drug smuggler, from what I heard on the news, has tried transporting drugs again. He's the one who should have to do prison time. What the hell is wrong with people who take up for a criminal trespassing drug pusher before they will take up for the ones who are trying to secure America's borders?!! That's what gets me.

I think that there should be another petition to get the immunity thrown out for that piece of sh!t drug smuggler too. I don't think that a person who brings drugs into this country should EVER be entitled to immunity under this justice system. That is NOT right.

Besides the other suggestions, I read you should write the Navy Reserves. One man served for a long time. Ask them how they are helping. Getting the Military involved could mean a lot. They have a web. And ask for an answer.

There are already tons of petitions. But I say they are getting what they deserve. You don't shoot someone in the back and then expect no consequences. Drug smuggler or not, he had his back turned and was not threatening their lives, so their for, I hope they go to prison. By the way, if your going to do a petition, don't do an online one. Online petitions are frowned upon and alot thrown out because people can sign it several times under different names and it can not tell for sure if you are over 18 or not, which I believe is a requirement to be involved in a petition. If you are going to do one, do it in real life.

I wish there was a way, unfortunately not. I have a similar situation. I work for a physician and he agrees to care for inmates. The part that bothers me is that all of their health care while in prison is 100% covered. How upset do you think I get when they show up for their appointments knowing that they are there to receive care all because I work hard to pay the taxes it takes to take care of them. I am a single mother who works hard to take of her children and I can't even afford the braces they need. Unfortunately we live in a backwards world. Totally Sucks!! I'm sorry I don't have any useful info for you. Good luck!

I heard about this today on Glenn Beck's show. These guys should be receiving a medal instead of facing jail time.

i don't know any petitions like that, but i think that if u want something done, then u should do it yourseld, after u get the petition go to like a county or city council cite where that happened, and tell them that u would like to present a petition for the problem, they HAVE to listen, and if they don't, u can go state wide or national.........

For doing their jobs? Or for breaking the law while on duty?

I've seen both examples, and I'm involved in one similar case right now where the border guard accepted bribes to look the other way for one particular smuggling operation.

You should do a lot of research, and check the facts, before assuming the guards are innocent or guilty. That's why we have a legal system, and a criminal justice system, and courts and juries.

Let the system do its job.
