Well that is the question, isnt it? Is there a god? If so, is god a loving being or a selfish one? Does god pick and choose who to punish or reward? I believe in... something. I dont know what, and probably wont until I die, if even then. If I get hurt, do I say, "Oh god, that hurts"? Yes. Some might say thats blasphemous, and taking god's name if vain. Some might say that saying that doesnt necessarily mean I believe in god. If I said that I was raised as a Catholic, then those people might believe that it doesnt necessarily mean I believe. I could have just been "brainwashed" into saying "oh god", all the time.
Some people might say, the fact that I use "god" instead of "God" is proof that I dont believe in god. That only proves that I dont believe in religion. Human beings make people capitalize that "G", god doesnt. At least I dont think so. People can say that god started religion, but people arent perfect. I dont believe in religion, because I believe people invented religion. I DO believe that other people need religion, though.
I believe that some people need some higher power to believe in so that they feel better about living. I believe that some of those people need someone to lead them and guide them so they dont have to go about it alone. Those people, those select "few", need religion. The rest can just believe in "god" and call it a day, whether god is the christian god, or buddha, or allah, or whatever.
Now, to answer your question of if you make fun of god, will he take revenge.... In my opinion, it all depends on who you believe god to be. Its all up to you. If you are one of those "few" that need some priest or pastor or minister, then most likely (from what I hear about some people who follow that way), you will be punished. If you are one of the others who believe in god, but not in religion, then most likely, your god will be a loving god, and you wont be punished, because god will just laugh it off and stop there.
You have to ask yourself, if someone made fun of you, would you get "all worked up", or would you laugh it off? Now, if you chose to laugh it off, dont you think a "supreme being" would be able to do so too? I agree with Jesus' saying "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me." But I dont think that you will go to "hell" (if there even is such a place) when you die, just because you said god's beard was a bit gay.

If I, Don, a fully authorized and licensed representative of God made fun of you, would you get all worked up and try kill me to burn me? Or would you laugh it off?
If a person makes fun of me, I just open a big ol' can of whoopass on them and they go running home to their mamma's, wishing they had never messed with old Don.

I don't think Jesus has to kill you because you are just like I was alive
physically and weakling dead man on real thin wood waiting for the next
step to crash and die.
Eph 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
Eph 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Eph 2:3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
Everybody is a member of the Walking Dead Society until God saves
us and gives us eternal Life.God does not want to "burn me" he has
a gift of eternal Life to give you if you will only Believe HIS WORD and
receive Jesus as your Lord and savior.Eph 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) Joh 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
In Christ in Love,

No. In the Christian religion you can make fun of God all you want, he gave you that right upon creation (free will and all) and he probably really doesn't care anyway, seeing as he knows that he is better than you... he's God, afterall. The alternate answer to this (which most people don't like very much) is also no, because God doesn't exist. But that may just be my opinion.

Well, let's see what happened to some other people who mocked God and maybe you'll find your answer.
It is written in the Bible (Galatians 6:7): " Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Here are some men and women who mocked God:
------------------------------------------------
JOHN LENNON:
Some years before during his interview with an American Magazine, he said:"Christianity will end, it will disappear. I do not have to argue about that. I am certain. Jesus was ok, but his subjects were too simple, Today we are more famous than Him" (1966).
Lennon, after saying that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ, was shot six times.
-----------------------------------------------
TANCREDO NEVES (President of Brazil):
During the Presidential campaign, he said if he got 500 votes from his party, not even God would remove him from Presidency. Sure he got the votes, but he got sick a day before being made President, then he died.
-----------------------------------------------
CAZUZA (Bi-sexual Brazilian composer, singer and poet):
During a show in Canecão ( Rio de Janeiro ), whilst smoking his cigarette, he puffed out some smoke into the air and said: "God, that's for you."
He died at the age of 32 of AIDS in a horrible manner.
------------------------------------------------
THE MAN WHO BUILT TITANIC:
After the construction of Titanic, a reporter asked him how safe the Titanic would be. With an ironic tone he said: "Not even God can sink it"
The result: I think you all know what happened to the Titanic.
------------------------------------------------
MARILYN MONROE:
She was visited by Billy Graham during a presentation of a show. He is a preacher and Evangelist and the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to her.
After hearing what the Preacher had to say, she said:
"I don't need your Jesus"
A week later, she was found dead in her apartment.
------------------------------------------------
BON SCOTT:
The ex-vocalist of the AC/DC. On one of his 1979 songs he sang:
"Don't stop me, I'm going down all the way, wow the highway to hell".
On the 19th of February 1980, Bon Scott was found dead, he had been choked by his vomit.
------------------------------------------------
CAMPINAS/SP IN 2005
In Campinas, Brazil a group of friends, drunk, went to pick up a friend.
The mother accompanied her to the car and was so worried about the drunkenness of her friends and she said to the daughter - holding her hand, who was already seated in the car: "MY DAUGHTER, GO WITH GOD AND MAY HE PROTECT YOU",
She responded: ONLY IF HE (GOD) TRAVELS IN THE BOOT(trunk), COZ INSIDE HERE IT'S ALREADY FULL"
Hours later, news came by that they had been involved in a fatal accident, everyone had died, the car could not be recognized what type of car it had been, but surprisingly, the boot was intact.
The police said there was no way the boot could have remained intact. To their surprise, inside the boot was a crate of eggs, none was broken.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Many more important people have forgotten that there is no other name that was given so much authority as the name of Jesus. Many have died, but only Jesus died and rose again, and he is still alive.
JESUS!!!
What benefit does it have, if a man gains the whole world but loses his soul? What can man give in exchange of his soul? (Mathew 16:26)

If you live to Armageddon, He would likely kill you then. Even if you die before Armageddon, you need not fear a fiery place of torment, for the bible "hell" is simply the common grave of mankind, a sleeplike state of nonexistence.

God will not be the one to burn you. Remember the devil, he's the one that burns you.
We have an Almighty God, He can put you flat on your back in a heart beat. Does that tell you anything?
