Sometimes we moms have trouble expressing our feelings. It does not mean she doesn't love you. When was the last time you told her? What was her response? Try it.

How do you feel about your mom? Do you try to show her affection? it may be that she has a lot of pressures and maybe "forgets". It's not like you're fishing for love, but do something nice for her... treat her to day at a spa, while you clean the house while she's out... or if you see her just sitting around, if she's watching TV, ask her to turn it off and have a chat with your mom. Tell her how you feel about her, and that you're beginning to feel like she doesn't love you, though you love her dearly. She'll crack eventually. I'm sure she loves you... she just forgot to say it to you! and it's always nice to hear someone say that they love you!

Good luck with mommy!

Ask her if she loves you. Yes, it's that simple. I'm sure she does and chances are she'll even elaborate on how much. Moms, once their children reach a certain age, don't feel it's always necessary to reassure our children that we love them. Although I always knew they loved me, once I hit my teenage years, it was a rare thing to hear from either of my parents. So I do just the opposite with my boys. They practically run out the door because I make them say "I love you" before they go anywhere. ( I say it to them too). And I know they need to hear it, because when they are a friends house, they feel the need to call before bedtime...they claim it's to say goodnight, but I have this feeling its to hear those three little words. Tell your mom that sometimes you just need to hear it...she'll understand. And it wouldn't hurt to tell her that you love her too....moms live for that.

Maybe she isn't the type to show love! My dad's mom loves him but she favors my dad's sisters and just kinda leaves him out! I think that if you talk to her about how you feel then maybe things will be a little better!

She probably does, but doesn't realize you need to hear it.
Some families just don't say these things, and feel that they SHOW it.
My family never said it until my Dad died suddenly, and Mom said she would never again NOT tell the people who need to know. It was awkward at first, but every time you say it, it gets easier. Good luck!!

Be nice to her, I suggest u invite u mom for a dinner, just for spending time together, in a restaurant that u love the food, without special commemoration. Just your mom and U.
good luck.

My dad has the same problem. Looking back, I can see he told me he loved me in the things he did. Recently my sister just came out and said, "DAD, when I say I love you, that means I want you to say it back. And sometimes I want you to say it first!" He smiled.

Everyone grows up with some sort of intimacy problems, and perhaps your mom grew up without hearing that herself.

I would want my daughters to just ask me if they felt like this. Just tell her that you really need to hear that she loves you.
