valve cover, intake manifold or most likely the oil pressure sending unit is leaking

The smoke may be coming from the oil getting on the exhaust manifold (or headers) A very common leak that goes unnoticed for a while on bowtie motors is the oil pressure sending unit. Check and make sure it's not leaking arround the threads where it screws into the block.

1. Check the valve cover gasket on the driver side. 2. check the back of the intake manifold for leak. Oil leaking on to a hot engine will smoke.

oil leak could be rear main seal or it could be higher like valve covers but it is leaking or being slung on the exhaust manifold
