yes, if any seafood is strong smelling, its bad (if its raw). If it's raw, it should hardly even have a smell.

Could very well be. One time I bought shrimp from a seafood case at the grocery store and it had a very strong fishy smell and taste. I wouldn't eat it and took it back for a refund

Yes do not eat it. If any Fish or any type of sea food smells strong walk the other way fast it is not good and you may very well get sick.

Not sure about crab, but I know the rule of thumb is fish should not smell fishy. If it does it is not fresh.
