Best bet is to ask the good and kind people (management) at your bookstore for a meeting, show them your papaer work interms of loans etc, get a letter form your professor and they may just let you have the books and invoice your loan compay directly or palce a direct debit for the date the loan comes through.
Dont mess up by rushing things- there is always a better way out- so no credit cards sweetie and no other desperate measures.

If you know FOR SURE(and before your billing date) you will be receiving enough financial aid for the semester, then you should be fine using the credit card for your books. Just make sure you pay back the entire amount by the credit card due date.
Or to be on the safer side, ask your parents to lend you money for books, then pay them back when your loan comes.

You should wait until your loan to come through. You can explain to your professors that can't get your books until your loan come through must like they would understand. So your best bet is to wait until your loan come through.
