he is at 10 lbs. now and don't know if he is getting to much?

I feed Iams and for a puppy 5-7 months old weighting between 10-15 pounds feed 1 1/2 cups of feed a day, I would feed half of this amount in the morning and half that amount at night. And keep lots of fresh water available for him.

about 1/2 a cup of dry and pleanty of exercise, I have 4 mini's myself they should not be over 12 lbs all of mine are right at 9 lbs so yours should be good

I think about a cup of food a day. You can check the package of dog food cause each are different depending on the nutrition and if it is a puppy food it may be different.

don't feed him to much b/c puppies keep eating and stuff them selfs and then they can die. so i would give him 3 hand fulls of dog food a day unless he didn't eat what u gave him. he sounds pretty heavy for a five month old puppy.

A SCANT 1/2 cup of DRY*ADULT* is PLENTY!! ONE feeding daily.
A miniature dachs.is only supposed be **11** lbs as an adult!
