Perhaps the most famous riddle of all time:

What animal goes on four feet in the morning, on two feet in the afternoon, and on three in the evening?

If you fail to answer, I shall devour you whole, and you shall NEVER reach Thebes.

Remember, only google the answer once you've made an effort yourself! Otherwise, it's no fun :(

I hope many of you get it wrong, because I'm really hungry right now.

Oh, and if you google it, you're doomed to sleep with your mom and murder your dad. Don't say I didn't warn you...

Yes, this is an old riddle... in fact, over 2,000 years old. It's the riddle posed by the Sphinx to Oedipus on the road to Thebes, which most of you probably know. A great riddle which has had staying power over the ages.

Man.
Four feet in the morning (early life) is a baby crawling.
Two feet in the afternoon (adult/middle of life) is walking.
Three feet in the evening (old age) is an old dude with a cane.
Six feet at midnight is someone with a walker!

The human I think. Morning = baby. when you crawl, you use 2 legs and 2 arms. Afternoon = adult. When you walk, you use 2 legs. Night = Old people. When they need a walker to help them walk, 2 legs and a walker.
