That their mother is not perfect, and loves them unconditionally. Something my mother can not do.

The one thing that I would want my children to learn is not to let anyone tell you how you feel about things in life is wrong. Your feelings are "your" feelings, don't let anyone take that away from you. If you feel like crying, go ahead and do so! If you feel like punching the wall, by all means do so, just as long as you're not causing any hurt or harm to anyone else, you're free to be!!

To understand what an ethos is, to develop his/her own, let it evolve as she/he grows and learns. Explore others to mirror and evaluate the assumptions and worldview which causes him/her to hold his/hers. To then also come to realize that there is a difference between and ethos and moral certainty.

The one thing I hope my child learns from me is to aspire for greatness. Which covers everything from treating people with respect and kindness, work hard/play harder, self-love/respect, confidence in yourself, faith in God, etc.

You want them to know they are loved, know they can depend on you, know they can trust you, know they can talk to you, and know that no matter what you will always be there for them. You teach them self love, build confidence, how to be responsible, work ethics, how to love and treat others and be there for their family. Hopefully the cycle continues.

How to truly love someone, to be kind to everyone, to be there for everyone when needed, to be understanding, caring and loving people, to be a true person and to never be cruel to anyone, to be true friends, but most of all-be true to themselves.
